La bruschetta tipica pugliese

The typical Apulian bruschetta

Sometimes called "cialledda," it's a typical Italian appetizer consisting of a slice of bread (fresh and then toasted) or a bread wafer lightly moistened with water. The whole thing is seasoned with oil, salt, cherry tomatoes, and basil. You can add any other ingredients you like, such as black olives, salted ricotta, anchovies, and so on.
